I didn't take the traditional route to finding what I wanted to do in life. Instead, I went on a different path and discovered my passion along the way. I entered undergrad wanting to become a doctor and happily graduated as a psychologist. I went to graduate school as a psychologist and picked up an affinity for marketing and consumer behavior along the way.  While working in marketing I bought a camera and aimed it, at all places, a plate. It didn’t take long for me to show people my food photos and tell them where to eat. Looking at it, I initially thought I couldn’t settle on one thing but I now realize I was finding and experiencing all the things I enjoy: psychology, marketing, photography, and reviewing restaurants. Is it a lot to love? Sure, but putting it all together is what I enjoy the most. Understanding it all has given me a unique way of thinking and interacting with others that I wouldn’t change for anything. Well, I could live without the student loan.
